Western Knights had the better opportunities but were left to rue missed chances after their 0-0 draw against Shamrock Rovers at Nash Field on Saturday.

A win was vital for both sides and would have moved them closer to the top four, but on windy day, and on an uneven pitch, it was not to be and both had to settle for a point.
Knights coach Andy Thorburn believed they were the better team, but needed to be more ruthless in front of goal.
“I thought we dominated the game and created some good chances, but didn’t take them, but overall I was happy with the performance,” he said.
“It was always going to a game where one goal would win it, and we had them on the back foot for the last 20 minutes but couldn’t find the winner.
