WESTERN KNIGHTS EQUAL FOOTINGBALL SENIORS/OPEN AGE TEAM WIN 2015 (INAUGURAL) CHAMPIONS CUP

Football West’s Equal Footingball Division has been in existence for 5 years, and Western Knights Soccer Club has been an enthusiastic supporter and participant right from the beginning. To accommodate the growing interest in the Division, it was divided into two separate age groups last year – Juniors for 11 – 18 year olds, and Seniors/Open Age for 16 year olds and over.

The Western Knights Seniors team consists of Brendan Masters, Christopher Cairns, Conrad Morris, Darren Reilly, Dylan Broadway, and Levi Saunders, and has been coached by Florian Morris for the last two years.

This year was the inaugural year of the Champions Cup being presented to the Team finishing on top of the ladder at the end of the season, and the Western Knights team were very proud to be the winners.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WHOLE TEAM!

There are a few special mentions to be made:

Darren Reilly was runner-up in the “Leading Goal Scorer” table for the EFD.

Brendan Masters was selected to play in the Australian Special Olympics Soccer Team, and went to Los Angeles recently for the Games where there were 6,500 athletes representing 165 countries. Brendan’s team received the Silver Medal in their Division.

Conrad Morris and Levi Saunders were selected to play in the WA Paralympics Soccer Team, and are about to go to Coffs Harbour for the National Paralympics games.
