Congratulations to our under 11s team who made the final of the year end Bunbury Junior carnival held over the weekend (12-13 October 2013), playing and beating most of Perth’s top Junior teams, before losing narrowly in the final.
This after also finishing in the top 2 this season.
During the tournament they amassed 30 goals in the group stage and conceded only 3! In total 20 clubs competed in this age group. They beat old mates Subiaco in the semis, then faced friendly rivals Sorrento in the grand final. After an early goal in the finals, the Knights fought hard to stay ahead, but went down 1-2 in the end. It was a long, tough weekend, but so enjoyable with the boys showing great skill, team spirit and sportsmanship.
Well done to all of them and their always supportive families, a credit to the coaches and players team attitude in getting so far, an example of what the right attitude, right coaching, and club support can achieve.
